But Lisbon’s large-scale regeneration in recent years and the growing appeal of Porto as a weekend destination, thanks to cheap flights, is encouraging buyers to contemplate city life instead.

After establishing itself in the north of Portugal (Porto), Luximo's Christie’s International Real Estate has now announced the opening of an office in Vilamoura Marina.

A vineyard near the town of Póvoa de Lanhoso is one such property. It includes a fully restored 1900s manor house and a modern winery equipped for winemaking, bottling and storage. “The house is ready to move into and the green-wine-production business is set up to go,” says LUXIMOS, an affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate. “It is rare that you find a wine estate in such good condition.”
